Your demo account gives you access to six RealTick® pages, each consisting of multiple windows. We recommend you start with “An Intro to RealTick,” which should open automatically when you first launch the application (If not, you can access this page by clicking on Open from the "Page" menu).

In the upper right hand corner of this Intro to RealTick page, you should see an integrated web browser window containing a Macromedia Flash file. Maximize this window to view the animated demo, and familiarize yourself with the various RealTick windows and the data they provide access to.

This page is an example of what a daytrader might use to make quick decisions and watch momentum and intra-day charts. At its core is RealTick®’s MarketMaker window.

Hottrend®

Hottrend® is a value-added feature in RealTick that helps you find stock trading ideas and manage risk. By viewing Hottrend in a MarketMinder window, or via the Web Browser (it is provided as a default favorite), you'll see a list of stocks, updated every minute, that are exhibiting abnormal trading behavior based on historical expectations.

Level II & Links

One of the most functional features in RealTick is the ability to link windows for quick symbol transfers. As you update or click on a symbol from the Stocks or MarketMinder windows, all other windows in RealTick will update automatically, saving you valuable time.

The Oz Scanner

The Oz Scanner is another value-added feature in RealTick that provides stock trading ideas. For example, the Usual Suspects scan searches for stocks that are up on the day and on pace to have a higher than average volume.
